Dr. Rode grew up in Three Hills, Alberta. She received a Biology degree at the University of Calgary in 2010, before entering the Doctor of Optometry program at the University of Waterloo. She completed an externship at an ophthalmology hospital in Houston, Texas, where she gained training on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of ocular diseases. She graduated Optometry school with honours in 2014, and spent two years working in south-western Ontario before returning to her home province of Alberta.
Dr. Rode is committed to providing each of her patients with an exceptional eyecare experience. She is a member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists, and has a variety of clinical interests, including children's vision, dry eye treatment, and humanitarian eyecare outreach. She has participated in eyecare charity projects in Peru, Mexico, and Honduras. In her spare time, Dr. Rode enjoys exploring the great Canadian outdoors, playing board games, and reading.
